Yamunai Atrile - Mithali

One of the voices and songs that caught me when the movie Thalapathi was released (it was the year 1991 for Diwali).

Excellent song rendered beautifully by Mithali and Chorus (I have sung the solo version here since this one is without most of the music!)

Song: Yamunai Atrile
Singer: Mithali
Movie: Thalapathi

Hi there,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments.
I heard your yamunaiaatrile-nice rendition and you have a nice voice. Some sangathis have come out really nicely.
However some need to be worked upon IMHO.Like, there are shakes that are unnecessary.Just listen really, really keenly to the original singer-best way to perfect yourself.
And the intermittent music sounds a litle odd :) You might want to either sing it completely without music, or do the karaoke.
And yes, manam virumbuthe was sung over the original. Most of my earlier recordings on soundclick are of poor recording quality.

Wow Ajitha...Wow.!

Sorry for being so late here !

Fantastic is no word. You have such a smooth, sweet voice and you've sung it so nicely with wonderful Bhavam!

Thanks for singing it without Karaoke. The voice stood out, the words stood out and the melody stood out. The small bits of BGM in between added a nice touch to the song!

Thanks for your feedback. Will surely this into consideration in my next rendition.

Narayanan sir,

Thank you very much for those encouraging words. To be honest, I did this without karaoke because I did not have one. This song has been my favorite since my school days and am glad you could enjoy it.

You have got a beautiful voice. i thought this song brought the beauty of your voice to the fore than "ninnu kori" or "kaatril enthan" songs, That was a beautiful renditon with near perfect diction, expression and notes.... Keep em coming....

Hi Nisha and Vidya

Welcome to my blog and am happy that I made you nostalgic!

Will try my best to entertain you...

Suresh,

Thanks for stopping by and giving your feedback.

The reason why this one probably is better because, a) there is no music to overshadow the voice b) its a relatively shorter song to make mistakes c) its an extremely familiar song for me!

That said, will try to render better songs soon...
